TerraFund for AFR100 Landscapes: How to Apply for Financing in 2023
Are you a locally led organization that restores land by growing trees? If you work in one of three African landscapes mentioned below, you can apply for funding of $50,000 to $500,000 USD through TerraFund for AFR100. Expressions of interest for funding will be open on the TerraMatch platform from April 5, 2023 to May 5, 2023.

The Program
After working with 100 restoration champions across 27 countries since 2021, TerraFund for AFR100 is ready to invest in additional locally led non-profit organizations and for-profit enterprises. This funding opportunity is only available for project developers that restore land in three landscapes: Kenya’s Greater Rift Valley; the Lake Kivu & Rusizi River Basin of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda; and the Ghana Cocoa Belt. Non-profit organizations are eligible for grants, and for-profit organizations are eligible for loans.

How Can You Learn More?
On March 28, World Resources Institute, One Tree Planted, and Realize Impact will host a preview webinar in English to unpack the details of this unique opportunity. The team will explain the geographic areas eligible for investment, the TerraMatch application platform, the monitoring, reporting, and verification framework, and the decision-making process and timeline. Attendees will be invited to ask questions, to which a team of experts will respond in real-time.

We’re ready to scale up Africa's land restoration movement. Will you join us? Please sign up here for the March 28th session in English.
